Randy Hodge
Randy Hodge has been officiating football for over 36 years, beginning in 1985. He officiated basketball, baseball and softball for over 10 years – including working a TSSAA state softball championship. Hodge has officiated almost 400 high school varsity football games. including over 50 TSSAA playoff games, 5 TSSAA semi-finals, & 3 TSSAA championship games (2000 as Head Linesman; 2009, 2017 as Referee). He has been a TSSAA Referee (white hat) for almost 20 years, and officiated collegiate football for a number of years in the South Atlantic Conference. Hodge served as vice president of the TSSAA Region One Football Officials Association (2004-2007) and president (2008-2010). He has served as sub-varsity assigning officer since 2008. He considers supervising, training, and mentoring new officials as a great honor and a solemn obligation to give back to an association that has given so much to him. Hodge received the National Football Foundation James Cradic Official of the Year Award in 2019 and was inducted into the National Football Foundation Mountain Empire Chapter’s Hall of Fame. Randy is a graphic designer and artist of note. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from East Tennessee State University in 1978. |
