George Jordan
George Jordan officiated high school football for over 30 years as a wing, back judge, and referee and worked numerous playoff games. He was on the state championship crew in 2006; served as President of Region 1 Football Officials Association; and has been a State Supervisor since 2008. Jordan makes sub-varsity team assignments for Sullivan and Hawkins Counties and helps train and develop the ability of officials working in these counties. He started and conducts an on field officials clinic for new officials, and has served on the TSSAA mechanics committee since 2021. Jordan is a humble, Christian gentleman who is extremely dedicated to local and state officiating. He is an honest as the day is long. Jordan was an integral part in establishing and operating sports in the Colonial Heights Athletic Commission during the 1960s and 70s and was particularly helpful in baseball and flag football. He is active in his church, serving as a Deacon and teaching classes. Jordan is an active member of the National Football Foundation Mountain Empire Chapter, participating all activities. He helped run the golf tournament one year. |
