David Bibee
David Bibee graduated from Tennessee High School in 1973 where he played quarterback and was 2-time All-State, and 2-time State Champion. He was All-Big Nine in football, basketball, baseball and track. Bibee remains the total offense leader and career touchdown pass leader for the Vikings. As quarterback, he led his team to back-to-back undefeated seasons culminating in back-to-back State Championships in 1971 and 1972. In 1972 the Vikings were awarded the National Championship. During Bibee’s career, the Tennessee High Vikings had a 3-year football record of 35-1. Bibee played at the University of Tennessee (1973-1976) and was on 2 bowl teams (1973 Gator Bowl and 1974 Liberty Bowl). Bibee was a long-time high school and college coach, spanning 36 years. He has coaching stops at University of Tennessee, Ole Miss, North Alabama, Middle Tennessee, Austin Peay, Appalachian State, South Carolina, Tennessee Tech, Clemson, East Tennessee State, The Baylor School, and UT Chattanooga. Bibee has 7 Bowl appearances as a coach. |
